Double Dare…..is Out…But Of Course I Messed It Up!

Dear Readers who are extremely patient, As promised, I released Double Dare as soon as it was done. And of course, I messed it up. The book was set for pre-sale at iBooks, B&N and a few other places. I distribute through Smashwords.com for those places so when I uploaded the book yesterday I clicked “Release Now” hoping that it would go through when the finished version of the book went through. The wonderful team at Smashwords.com and iBooks is working very hard to fix my screwup, which inadvertently removed the pre-order setup at iBooks. They are hoping to have it up and available at iBooks by Tuesday. It may come out sooner, but I don’t want to make any promises →

This is what’s going on over at my Facebook page. If we can get 200 people to donate at least one nonperishable item before Thanksgiving I will post a large teaser from the next Neighbor from Hell novel, The Game Plan. You don’t need a picture, but what I am asking is that if you promise to donate to help make sure that a family doesn’t go hungry this Thanksgiving that you follow through with it. That’s all. 2013 is about to come to an end. It’s been a busy and very interesting year. I count myself very fortunate to have met many of you over the past year and hope to meet many more of you in the coming year. This past year saw the arrival of the first book in the Cursed Heart Series as well as the fourth book in The Neighbor From Hell series, which was about how it all started for the Bradford men. They were both really fun books to write even though at times I thought they were going to knock me on my butt. Part of my plan to return to work is to handle my health issues on the side, but with a little fun 🙂 A few of my author friends (L.D. Davis & Lisa M. Harley) want to lose weight, get healthy, raise money for some great charities and screw each other over for fun 🙂 My charities are The Ronald McDonald House and The Make A Wish Foundation. Well, Checkmate is done 🙂 We are just working on editing it right now. Our deadline for edits is the 22nd so that we can get the paperback set up as well as be ready for the release date. There are some changes to the release dates. Originally we were going to run Checkmate for Charity for twenty days and hold off publishing the book for sale. Although we have received a lot of interests in that deal, most readers have experessed a desire to wait to purchase the book. After discussing the situation, we realized that type of release will not work for several reasons so we have a modified release that we think will work for everyone. Checkmate →

Paying it Forward For months now I’ve been planning on getting a new radio for my car and like most single mothers, I had to budget for it. Well, the time to pick out a new radio finally came and I was pretty excited to have a CD player or even a satellite radio to listen to while I chauffeur my children around. I was all set to look around today since I have my first child-free day in weeks, but something happened last night. 3rd.and Final Day of the Scavenger Hunt This scavenger hunt is going to be run a bit differently than the ones in the past. For starters, you have to leave your computer in order to do it. You will need a camera and today’s newspaper to prove that you didn’t get your pictures via the web. The rules, don’t do anything dumb to get yourself arrested, slapped, or hurt. Charitable Act Announcement

; As some of you know, I’m conducting a charitable giveaway with the release of Checkmate. The book will hopefully be all set to go in two months. I just didn’t feel that it was right to ask for a charitable act without doing one of my own. So, I am going to see what I can do to help our wounded troops. I will be contacting VA hospitals and a few organizations to see what can be done. I’m hoping to get some collaboration on this. This project has nothing to do with the war or political causes. It’s focused solely on the men and women who serve our country, nothing else. This is for them, no one else. →
