“No,” came the firm denial before Haley got a chance to make her case.
“Just hear me out,” she said, forced to crawl off the bed and chase after Jason when he walked into the bathroom. “What if–”
“Not happening,” the stubborn man that she loved for some reason said firmly, cutting her off as he pulled his tie around his neck.
“You don’t even know what I was going to say,” Haley pointed out with a stubborn tilt of her head as she absently reached up and pushed her glasses back up her nose before she crossed her arms over her chest so that she could properly glare at her husband.
